Installation

Requirements

• Blender 4.3 or newer (but not 5.0 or newer)
• Any operating system supported by Blender (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Install from ZIP

1. Download the latest .zip release from Gumroad.
2. In Blender, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons.
3. Click Install from Disk and select the downloaded .zip file.
4. Enable the addon by checking the box next to Waypoint.
5. The Waypoint panel appears in the N-panel (press N in the 3D Viewport).

Tip

You do not need to unzip the file — Blender installs directly from the .zip.

Update

To update Waypoint:

1. Download the new version .zip from Gumroad.
2. In Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, find Waypoint and click Remove.
3. Restart Blender.
4. Install the new .zip following the steps above.

Caution

Always restart Blender between uninstall and reinstall to avoid class registration conflicts.

Verify installation

After enabling the addon:

1. Open a 3D Viewport
2. Press N to open the sidebar
3. You should see a Waypoint tab

If the tab doesn’t appear, check the Blender console (Window → Toggle System Console on Windows) for error messages.

Troubleshooting

”Module not found” errors

• This usually means a partial install from a previous version. Fully remove the old version, restart Blender, then install fresh.
